Biodiversity Lab

Biodiversity Lab

Our main research area is Evolution and Ecology of freshwater systems, with a specific focus on diversification and evolution in relation to behaviour, fish physiology and ecology of river and lacustrine habitats. We also investigate behavioural ecology of fish, particularly of salmonids in Icelandic river systems.

Today we have a number of ongoing research projects. Annually, the staff and graduate students within the department publish 10-15 peer-reviewed publication in international journals.
