Master students showcase their research at this week's friday seminar!

This morning's Friday Seminar at University of Iceland at Hólar featured two outstanding presentations from MSc students, highlighting the exciting research being carried out within our graduate programmes. The weekly Friday Seminar series continues to provide an excellent opportunity for students, researchers, and visitors to come together and share scientific knowledge.

Dylan  O'Hagan, an MSc MARBIO student at University of Iceland at Hólar supervised by Camille A. Leblanc, presented his research project entitled "Parasite diversity and load among and within small, benthic Icelandic Arctic charr (Salvelinus alpinus) populations." Joining online from the Faroe Islands, Anja Herálvsdóttir Jensen, an MSc student in Aquatic Biology at Hólar University, presented her project "Antimicrobial resistance in seabirds as indicators of untreated wastewater pollution in the Faroe Islands." 

Both students delivered excellent presentations, demonstrating not only the quality of their research but also their professionalism and communication skills. The seminar attracted a diverse audience of lecturers, PhD and MSc students, university staff, interns, and fellow students, creating an engaging and stimulating scientific atmosphere.
